Is it possible to eradicate racism?

Steven

Today is Australia Day.

For many Australians it’s a time to celebrate the marvels of this country that is to many the envy of the world. But for others, sadly it is a day of mourning and loss.

At the root of it is racism, and at the root of racism is the mind.

My mind creates the divisions

I’ve found that it is my own mind (ego) that creates the divisions – I can be united or divided by it!

Yesterday I was discussing the issue of changing the date of Australia Day on TikTok.

In the past, when I’ve spoken from my perspective, there’s been this kind of dark energy that I’m projecting onto the conversation.

But no one has ever listened when I speak like that!

It just bounces back with the same dark energy…

So instead, I tried to shift my perspective to his, and I was amazed by the result!

He listened and we united and found common ground!

It was a beautiful moment 🙂

The mind is the problem

So to break out of it, wouldn’t it be best to let go of my own self-centred perspective?

When I let go of those thoughts, it changed the whole outcome, but I’ve only been able to do that because I meditate.

Through meditation, I can reflect on myself and let go of how I used to to be, and more importantly I can go to that place within me where I see that everyone is just one and the same!

How can I possibly have hatred in my heart when there’s no hate there to begin with?

How can I possibly see “race” when all I see is the perfect, one existence?

It’s possible to eradicate racism!

So yes, it is possible, but we all need to clear the racist thoughts out of our mind!

The generations of racism stored in our subconscious minds, and all the fear, hatred and anger has to go.

Then we have to go deeper to find that perfect place within us, where everything is one.

And that’s how we eradicate racism.

It’s not going to be through some government policy – it’s going to be by your own mind.
